AM: Please tell me about how you created The Fixxx Podcast?
Jesenia and I previously had a show called “Comedy Girls” where we interviewed people and had different topics a few years ago. Then we actually got laid off from our desk jobs at the same time (go figure) and decided we needed something to keep us occupied and allow us to entertain while we had the time. Besides, where else can we openly talk about sex, dating, and the stupid shit celebrities do without being censored?
AM: How both of you maintain the armory to keep developing the show?
When you enjoy something, it’s not hard to find time to produce an episode. We have the freedom to say whatever we want, do what we want, and our listeners love it. What’s cool is our podcast has given us the opportunity to reach a broader audience and introduce Comedy High, our production company, to new people.

AM: Please tell me about The Film In case of emergency? Is it a Feature film or short?
“In Case of Emergency” is a feature film by Stefanie Sparks. It’s a really fun comedy that has it’s absurd moments and dark moments about two completely different women who reach really low points in their lives and accidental end up finding solace in their new friendship. It’s female drive, which is so dope. On the top of that, crew was primarily women, as well! It’s my first lead role I’ve ever done in a film and we took about a year and change to film it. I was challenged every single time I was on set and learned so much about who I am as an actress, so I can’t wait for everyone to see it.
AM: Why you decided to do this film?
Silver screen has always been the nucleus where I wanted to start my acting career and since then I’ve been doing a lot of everything: sketch comedy, web series, and digital stuff etc., but when I saw this breakdown I jumped at the chance to audition. I actually auditioned three different times for it. I really wanted to do this film because it’s so on par with what I do: comedy and female-driven content.
AM: Which was the best process during filming the movie?
Stefanie is very collaborative, which I thoroughly enjoy especially when I produce my own content. It’s awesome when you work with a director who’s open to listening to the ideas you’ve come up with for your own character. Besides that, I got to meet some incredibly talented women like Phoebe Robinson, Caroline Castalgia - obviously, Stefanie, and my two favorite fucking makeup artists in the world: Kelly and Shaun!
AM: What was the most challenging process during filming?
Well, some of the film deals with my physical flaws like the fact that I’m a chubby girl. I filmed my first sex scene with Zach and that was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. We literally met day-of and started humping each other a few minutes later. I realized how free I am when it comes to my body during the filming - which, I wasn’t expecting. Come on - what’s better than seeing a chubby girl get some ass in a movie?! I’m over the skinny girls getting all the men!
AM: What are your future projects?
I’m developing a couple of exciting things with Jesenia for Comedy High Productions that I can’t really talk about but just make sure you follow us and subscribe to our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/comedygirlsnyc and @comedyhighnyc everywhere else.
